Sunil SOMATISSA Obituary

SOMATISSA, Sunil - Passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 28, 2012 at Etobicoke General Hospital surrounded by his family. Beloved husband of Lorna, loving father of Piyanjalee and Christopher, father-in-law of Diana and grandfather of Devon and Jalen. Son of the late Mr. and Mrs. G.H. Martin, brother of Pearl Fernando, Neil Kularatne, Nihal Kularatne and late Cecil Hewage. Brother-in-law of the late Austin Fernando, Heather Kularatne, Dhammika Kularatne, Nanda Hewage, Maureen and Fred Thomas, Vicky, Terry and Angeline Fernando. Family and friends will be received at the Benisasia Funeral Home, 3263 Derry Rd. East, Mississauga (905-678-0467), on Thursday, August 2, 2012 from 7-9 p.m. and Friday, August 3, 2012 from 6-9 p.m. Prayer Service on Friday at 7:30 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, August 4, 2012 at 10:30 a.m. at Our Lady of the Airways Church, 7411 Darcel Ave., Mississauga (905-677-4615). Burial at Assumption Catholic Cemetery (Tomken and Derry Rd.).

On behalf of the Executive Committee and the members of Maris Stella College OBA North America / Canada Branch, please permit me to send our heartfelt condolences to the late Sunil Somatissa family. MSC OBA had a very close relationship with Mr. Somatissa. We will always have fond memories of the wonderful times that we had with Mr. Somatissa , specially during those friendly games of cricket that we played with various school teams and clubs in Ontario.
Our thoughts and prayers are with with Somatissa family. May his soul rest in peace !
