My memories of Ed and of course Bobby go back to the time I staggered down the steps into Chartwell and a room full of people - like Bobby and Ed - and like them I belonged from day one - we shared over 30 years together - we had the same sponsor - and our date of sobriety was January 1st,
Linda you were blessed to have such a wonderful mother and dad - and I know how you helped them when they needed it
My best wishes to you and family -

December 8, 2003: I arrived as a client in primary care at Renascent Graham Munro Centre. I was told I would have my medical appointment straight away and was directed to the room upstairs. I was so nervous. I walked in and there was this very tall gentleman standing with his back toward me as he readied the forms and materials for the exam. He turned around and I remember seeing his gleaming turquoise and silver lariat tie piece first and then I looked up to his face. He stood there looking back at me and then in this larger than life voice boomed at me, "Three frogs on a log! One of them decides to jump into the water. How many frogs left on the log?!?" That was the day I met vibrant Dr. Ed Yielding (and his amazing partner in work and life Bobby). That day they each promised me (separately) that day that it would get better. It did. It does. Each of us who were touched and helped in some way by Ed & Bobby's love and service ... and there are so very many of us ... remember them both with deep gratitude, respect and fondness. Your legacy lives on.

P.S. I answered, "Two?" As Dr. Ed Yielding continued the exam, he gently explained to me how it works ...
