For Dorothy, Heather, Dean and Families,
The news of uncle Arnot's(Tom) death reached myself and our family as we were gathering in Scotland to scatter our own Dad's ashes (Harry)in Girvan, Scotland, an old holiday haunt of the Gordon's for many years.
Our Mum, Jenny, who has spoken very highly of her older brother Arnot, over the years, painted a picture of honesty, stability and a sense of humour, which we ourselves experienced when Uncle Arnot visited us in the nineties whilst we were staying in London.
Uncle Arnot and I played golf together during this time, during which he gave me the following piece of advice "Gordon, you should play golf the way you play life," he then proceeded to beat me by a country mile, and smiled as he treated me to a drink at the bar.
We are thinking of you all during this period of sadness and reflection and hope that you gather strength from one another and remember the happy times.
Gordon and Pamela Shelley, Claire, Ross and Emma.

My and my family's thoughts are with you all at this time. I will always remember the first time I met him in 1974, and his larger than life character and his enthusiasm for people and Golf!

To Dorothy and family, please accept my deep condolences for the passing of Arnot - a dear friendly man you can never forget. Remember the "garbage can band" for my mother-in-law? That was funny, and original! He was one of a kind and how sad that you've lost him.

We were sad to hear about the loss of such a fine and joyful man. Even though I have not had the oppurtunity to see Mr. and Mrs.Gordon recently. I have such fond memories of them both. Mr. Gordon had what they call such a "joie de vivre". Till this day, I can see him smiling, talking with that strong scottish accent of his, and laughing. Our prayers and hearts go out to you all.

To the Gordon and Mansi families,
We were so sorry to hear of the passing of Mr. Gordon (or as we called him Thom!). We will all miss him. He was very jovial, funny and loved to tease my boyfriend Brad. Brad handled it pretty well...And he is now my husband. But,not to worry Mansi kids, I promise to take on the legagy of teasing new boyfriends or girlfriends in his honour. I hope I will live up to his expectations.
Our thoughts are with you,
Brad, Julie and Seth Myers
