I was a student under Tom at Sheridan from 1979 to 1983 and enjoyed talking with him. He generally had a twinkle and a slight grin most of the time as he told us stories of when the Beatles came by the studio during Yellow Submarine. He mentioned how interested the lads were in the process and how polite they all were. He loved his water colours and was a good instructor in how to magically move pigment and water around to get a particular effect or even how to just go with the serendipity of wet on wet technique. I wish his family well and hope that every remembrance of Tom will bring a smile to their faces and a warm hug to their hearts.
