THOMAS KINCH Obituary

THOMAS ALFRED KINCH With great sadness we announce Tom's passing. Thomas Alfred Kinch, AKA "Tommy K", passed away peacefully on the morning of Tuesday, January 27, 2015 at his home surrounded by the love of his family in Pickering, ON, in his 56th year. Predeceased by parents Shirley Kinch (nee Blake) and Jack Kinch. Dear brother of Jeff and Bill. Beloved partner and best friend of Louise. Tom cherished his children Matthew (Michelle) and Erin. One of his favourite pastimes was to put together a wonderful meal and gather his children around his table. Tom's life was enriched by the love of his many friends, including the adoptive family of Rob, Linda, Olivia and Jessica Longorini, whom he truly adored. Tom was a Sales Representative with Zep Superior Solutions who lived his life with great gusto. He will be missed by many and forgotten by none. Please join us in celebrating his life at a Memorial Service being held Friday, January 30, 2015 at Qssis Banquet Halls, 3474 Kingston Road, Scarborough, ON, M1M 1R5. Visitation will begin at 4 p.m., followed by a service at 5 p.m., with refreshments to follow at 6 p.m. Flowers can be sent to the hall after 11 a.m. Thursday or Friday and, for those who wish, memorial donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.

My Crazy Tommy K, Our time together was filled with great happiness and joy. The first time we met I knew you were "the one" and I told you so soon afterward. We did not share the stresses of early married years or raising children. Our days were blessed. How many times did you say "pack your bags, I'm taking you somewhere, it's a surprise" Together we enjoyed life to the fullest. Not a single day went by that we didn't say I love you. Not a day went by without a touch, a kiss. I miss you desperately. Somehow the girl that always cared too much about what other people thought, and the guy that really didn't give a darn about being politically correct and would say what he felt ended up being an amazing couple. We balanced each other well. I thank you for the joy and love and endless laughter. Our home is unbelievably quiet without you in it. I thank you for all the nights I came home to dinner on the table and for the ways you supported me and championed my successes. So many times in the last couple of months I said to you that we were so lucky to live the way we did. 2014 was spent redecorating, refurnishing the house, endless dinners and visits with family and friends, lovely dinners for two, coffee and a little walk at the water after dinner, fabulous weekends up north and of course, in January our week in Jamaica. You asked me why I booked January. We always did the Caribbean in February.... Thank you God for the travel agent who suggested January, February would have been too late. And so, to the man with whom I spent the last 6 years of my life, a man who loved his children, loved his many, many, many friends and loved me so very much, I refuse to say good bye. Rest well knowing that our love still lives xoxo Love, your sweet Louise

So sad to hear. Tom was a childhood friend of my twin brother (Dane) and myself (David Clark). We grew up playing ice hockey together and sharing rides to games and practices. We lived around the corner on Birkdale Rd. Tom was the goalie on our teams. Hearing of Tom's passing brought back so many good memories. Our condolences to his family. May he rest in peace.

As one of his neighbours, It was clear that Tom always wanted to ensure that those around him were taken care of. I knew that if I was in need I could reach out to him. It was not only very nice but admirable. On behalf of many of his neighbours but especially for myself, his presence will be missed.

My good and dear friend Tom, missing you quite deeply, your daily calls and great support not only as a collegue but as a friend. I could always count on you for the truth and loyalty and it was because of that a great friendship was formed. We laughed a lot together and in times of struggle or frustration cared enough to lift the other up. I will miss you and our regular conversations. I take comfort in knowing that you are now in God's hands resting peacefully. I pray that God will comfort your family in this time of great loss.
Your friend and collegue,
