Tim Bannon Obituary

BANNON, Tim - Passed away on January 21, 2012 at Hôtel-Dieu Grace Hospital at the age of 88. Loving husband of Mary Elizabeth for 60 years. Dear father of Murray (Ruth Chapman), Vincent (Zoe), Deirdre Priebe (Steven), Pearce (Julieta) and Brad (Michael). Fondly remembered by 6 handsome grandsons Keith, Ken, Curtis, Harrison, Brennan, Shane and one beautiful great-granddaughter Charlotte. Predeceased by his parents Lorne and Mary (nee Regan), brothers Uriel "Ted", Michael, Rev. Murray and his brothers-in-law Monsignor John Weis, James Weis and Frances Weis. Tim was the owner and founder of Bannon Sheet Metal, original member of St. Gabriel's Roman Catholic Church, now known as Corpus Christi Catholic Church. He was a member of the Windsor Club, Essex Golf and Country Club, Past President of the Windsor Sheet Metal Contractors Association and a former Director of Essex Terminal Railway Co. Visitation will take place at the Janisse Brothers Marcotte Funeral Home, 1139 Ouellette Avenue, Windsor, 519-253-5225, on Wednesday, January 25, 2012 from 2-5 and 7-9 p.m. Parish Prayers at 7 p.m. Please note there will not be any Visitation on Thursday. Everyone is asked to meet directly at Corpus Christi Catholic Church (1400 Cabana Rd. West, Windsor, ON) for Mass of Christian Burial on Thursday, January 26th at 10 a.m. Interment will take place at St. Vincent de Paul Cemetery, Mitchell, Ontario in the spring. If you desire, donations to the Parkinson's Foundation, Windsor Regional Cancer Centre, or the CNIB would be greatly appreciated. Online condolences may be left at www.janissemarcotte.ca

Dear Bannon family,
My mother is Loretta (Bannon) (Masse) Biggart. Her father, Thomas was Lorne's brother. Mom is now 91 and living in at an extended care facility, but she does remember her cousin, Tim.

Dear Bannon Family:
I am so so sorry to hear of your great loss. Mr. Bannon was a lovely and fantastic person. I have such fond memories of the Bannon/Cusinato trips, parties, dinners etc. They are still a big part of me today.
