TIMOTHY ("TIM") JOHN MAHER Born February 4, 1965, Tim left his family and friends far too early following a short and courageous battle with cancer on February 8, 2015, just 4 days after his 50th birthday. Tim leaves behind the joys of his life, his two children, Brendan and Kyra. Predeceased by his father Dr. Gerald B. Maher, he will be deeply missed by his mother Ruth Maher, older brothers Peter (Leslie), Chris (Ann) and Eric (Theresa), as well as nephews Edward and Gavin, nieces Jennifer, Caitlin, Monica, Paulina and Julia and his many cousins from the Freckleton clan. Tim's loss is also mourned by his partner Patty Allison and her family. The family wishes to extend their heartfelt thanks to her for her devotion to and unwavering support of Tim during the difficult last several months. Our loss is shared by Norene and the Hillsdon family. We thank them for their ongoing support. We also acknowledge the kindness exhibited by Tim's colleagues at Infogroup, his long term employer. Tim was never very far from the hockey rink, either as a player of note or as an active parent coaching the Oakville Hornets and Mississauga Chiefs Hockey Clubs and supporting the hockey endeavours of his two children. A Celebration of Tim's Life will be held at Ward Funeral Home, 109 Reynolds Street, Oakville, on Saturday, February 21, 2015 with visiting from 10-11 a.m. and service to follow at 11 a.m. Please join us for a reception in the Reynolds Room immediately following the service to continue the wonderful memories and shared stories of Tim. In lieu of flowers, the family would encourage donations to Ian Anderson House in Oakville (
