TOMIKO WRATE Obituary

WRATE, TOMIKO TONI (nee KITAGAWA) November 27, 1937 – November 22, 2018 Toni Wrate passed away peacefully at home on November 22, 2018 with her loving husband Eric by her side. She was the youngest of ten children, survived by three sisters and one brother predeceased by her parents Matsuji and Misao Kitagawa, and one sister and four brothers. She will be missed by her many nieces and nephews. As per her wishes, there will be no funeral. Cremation has taken place. If desired, memorial donations can be made to Momiji Healthcare Society, Bayview United Church or the Canadian Cancer Society.

Hello Eric, So sorry to hear about Toni's passing. Man, I loved working with her. She was always able to look at any situation and figure out what we could do! She'll be missed.
I hold my memories of her in my mind - a pleasure knowing her and working with her.

Farewell to a special friend and colleague who worked tirelessly at CBC-TV Film Drama to help producers, et al., engage with sprockets and, along with the film stock, pull them through to a better understanding of the unyielding post-production process. Sincere condolences to Toni's family and friends.

Eric, I'm very sorry to hear about the loss of Toni. She was always a pleasure to work with and a rock when a production was veering towards the uncontrollable. Deepest condolences.
