Cousin Valerie was someone I loved and admired very much. I have so many great memories of the time spent at her parents home when I was a child. Valerie was the coolest of teens when I was young. I loved staying the night at her parent's home and being around Val when she wasn't busy with homework. When left in charge of me, she was patient, kind and lots of fun!
One of my most fondest memories of spending time with Val was when she would sneak me in to watch her father at work or venture down to her parents storage area and unpack her fabulous Barbie collection. It was amazing! We would dress them all up in new outfits and fantasize about what types of adventures and jobs they had.
The authentic love, kindness and interest she took in me as a little girl meant more to me than she will ever know. She was truly wonderful at connecting with young people.
I later observed these same qualities when I would see her with her own children. It was obvious to me that she was a dedicated and loving wife and momma. She was a beautiful human being.
I will miss her smile and laughter, but know her spirit is in a beautiful place. I will think of her often and smile at the memories I have of her.
Thank you Valerie for being a part of my life and loving my children from afar.
Holly

She was such a wonderful person and a great teacher. She supplied for me many times. She had a great disposition and calmness about her. Im really sorry for your loss. She was a loving person. When I was away at Queen of Heaven as she was in my class I knew the students were in the best hands. She loved teaching and I often asked her why she didnt go full time and her response was she wanted to be there for her family. She often spoke highly of them! She was a proud mom. God Bless. She will be missed.
