VERNA HUNTER "Safe in the Arms of Jesus" Verna Lucy May Hunter (Cairns) passed away peacefully at Belvedere Heights, Parry Sound on Saturday, August 9, 2014 with her loving family by her side, in her 94th year. Verna was born and raised on the family farm in King City and spent her retirement years in Parry Sound. Beloved wife of the late Ralph Simpson Wilson Hunter for 56 years. Dearly loved mother of Edward (Ted) Hunter and David and his wife, Pat. Loving grandmother of Sarah Manton (Chris), Stephen Hunter, and Jesse Jacklin (Cassandra). Loving great- grandmother of Bailey Manton. Dear sister of the late Doris Delena Cairns, who was born on February 21, 1925 and died on March 17, 1925 and the late William John Elmer Cairns. Dear sister-in-law of the late Cecil Hunter, the late Roy and Shirley Hunter, the late Stan Hunter and Yvonne Hunter of Ottawa. Dear Aunt of Carol Hunter of London and Roy Hunter (Dianne) of Barrie. Dear niece of the late Charlotte Delena Cairns. Beloved daughter of the late Jame s Albert Cairns and Ella May Cairns (Snider). Beloved granddaughter of the late John Cairns and Lucy Ann Cairns (Andrews) of King City. Beloved great-granddaughter of the late William Cairns and Margaret Cairns (McKellar) of King City. Fondly remembered by her special friends Jack and Irene Whalley, Merton Wells, and Mary Osborne, all of King City, Tisha and Tom James, Jim and Brian Redpath and many other friends.
