It is with deep sorrow that I just read about Walter's passing. Not only has he been a good and supportive boss to me between 1983 and 1987, but also a great mentor and a dear friend. Although distance and life circumstances have seperated us for the past 28 years, Walter always held a special place in my heart. My thoughts and prayers are with his lovely wife, Liz, as well as his family and friends. Walter was a kind and generous man, who will surely be missed by many, many people.

Walter James was my first boss at the Toronto Board of Education. He had a great sense of humour and a dry wit. It was always enjoyable listening to a Walter story...and he had many! R.I.P. Walter ❤
