Walter JOCKHECK Obituary

JOCKHECK, Walter Friedrich Johann - September 6, 1929 - February 22, 2014 It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden death of Walter, beloved husband for 54 years to Gloria Patricia Jockheck, loving father to David, Richard (Kathy) and Monica, adored grandfather (Opi) to Paul, Hope, Tiffany, Faith and Michael. Eldest brother to predeceased Wilhelm (Bill), sister-in-law Edith, Herbert, Gerda and brother-in-law Richard and Herta and brother-in-law Alfred Stoll. Walter was a well-respected, retired jeweller and whom from 1942 to 1994 managed and created many of Birks fine pieces. Walter was commissioned by Henry Birks & Sons, Inc. in 1981 to produce an exquisite broach for the Royal Regiment of Canada. The latter would be the wedding gift the regiment presented to Lady Diana Spencer and Prince Charles to commemorate their marriage.
