Walter Robinson Obituary

WALTER BANBURY ROBINSON June 29, 1925 - July 24, 2011 Passed away peacefully, after a lengthy illness, with family by his side at Brampton Civic Hospital on July 24, 2011 at the age of 86. Predeceased by his wife Marjorie (2010). Greatly loved father, grandfather, great- grandfather, uncle, friend and teacher. He approached his illness with strength and grace, always staying optimistic and positive. He managed to find beauty in every single day. Walter touched the lives of everyone who had the good fortune to spend time with him. He leaves behind his children Jude (Hazel), Michael (Dama), Colin (Dianne) and Camille; grandchildren Letisha, Tamesha, Miguel, Brooke, Max and great-granddaughter Harmony. He will also be missed by his "boy" Dash. He will be fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank the caregivers at LeisureWorld Brampton Woods for their great care in the last few months. We would also like to thank the staff at Brampton Civic Hospital - Oncology Unit; special thanks to Dr. Reingold. The family will receive friends at the Scott Funeral Home "Brampton Chapel," 289 Main Street North, Brampton (905-451-1100), on Sunday, July 31, 2011 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held at St. Joseph of Nazareth Anglican Church, 290 Balmoral Drive, Brampton (between Bramalea Road and Dixie), on Monday, August 1, 2011 at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations made to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated. Thank you all for giving dad (and Mom) such wonderful "Familyships" over their many happy years. If we should experience 1/4 of what he did in his life, we would have lived a great life.

Words are so had to find at times like this . These words came from a plaque we erected to Daddy at the house.
In tears we saw you sinking we watch you fade away our hearts were surely broken as we watched you fight to stay god saw you getting tired and cure was not to be he put his arm around you and whispered come to me.

Had the good fortune to have known him from back home. What a wonderful person, a gentleman in every sense of the word.
