While I remeber things like street picnics and such, one of my fondest memories of Warren was when my family's Taurus wouldn't turn off, and he, having a slightly older model, came to see if he could help. My mother (Susan) had just driven my sister Lesley to work and returned home, but the ignition wouldn't turn off. It eas like it was stuck, but being a double sided key, that shouldn't have been possible. After a couple hours of manual reading and trying a few things, Warren and a friend of my family decided to disconnect the battery. The next day Warren reconnected it so Susan could take it to be fixed. When the car was eventually returned it had a new ignition assembly, and in a box mom had the original with the key still stuck in it. Warren was as baffled as the mechanics when he saw it. More than two decades after that my father (Les), was cleaning out his workshop and accidently knocked the box containing the ignition to the floor. He picked it up looking at the contents, and on a lark tried to turn the key. It worked.
To the extended Abbott family, I can only offer my condolences. I grieve with thee.

Since Warren passed, we've tried to think of the appropriate words to pay tribute to him. Some of those that 'come to mind' are Honest, Wise, Loyal, Fiercely Protective, Undaunted, Tenacious and Beloved Husband and Loving (and Much Loved) Family Man. Rest In Eternal Peace Dear Friend.

Just wanted to let our Abbott clan know they are all in our thoughts and prayers. We always cherished our time spent with Warren, and are better people for having known him. He will be greatly missed by all for sure. Xoxo

Keith,
Thinking of you and all the Abbott´s. I know how precious your dad was to you. Funny stories you shared in the lunch room showed just how much you loved and looked up to him.
Our condolences,
Kelly Calhoun and Paul Suggitt
