The summer I first met Wendi, I recall thinking here’s a nice girl and then a few weeks later she was sitting in the deck area up above the dock at Paul Rogers’ house (now Dianne and Steve’s but I think that deck area is gone). She was backlit from the sunshine and I took one look at her and thought “This girl IS sunshine”. I’ll never forget that moment. It was just something that struck me about this person I didn’t know well. As years went on, I always thought of Wendi as having a sunny personality. She and I shared some very funny moments when she was starting up her business as an esthetician and although we’ve never been close, I liked her so much. She lit up a room and always had that effect on me, too. No matter how bad a day, a few minutes chatting with Wendi always made me feel cheerful. I was always in awe of her ability to do that. She was – and always will be — enchanting. My heart goes out to her entire family.

I wish to express my deepest condolences to the family for their loss. It has been many years since I have seen Wendi, but have very fond memories of spending time with her and Sandra in my younger teen years both in Bala and in the city.

I am so sorry for your loss.
