BASNICKI, William - (1923 - 2010) Suddenly at Humber River Regional Health Centre, Church Site on Good Friday, April 2, 2010. William, a devoted volunteer of St. Demetrius Ukrainian Catholic Church and the Ukrainian Canadian Care Centre and a long standing member of Knights of Columbus 5079. Loving and devoted husband of Jean Basnicki (Wizniak) for 58 years. Loving father of the late Kenneth and his wife Maureen and grandson Brennan and Erica, Bob and his wife Patricia and grandson Ryan and Chris (Adam). Dear brother of Norm (Pat), Adeline Beedie, Anne Keyowski (late Tom), Mary Skwarchuk (Bill) and predeceased by Mike (Mary), John (survived by Mary), George, Ray (survived by Lois) and Olga. Dear brother-in-law of Ernie (Margaret), Albert (Stella) and Eddie Wizniak, Stella Misurka (late Walter), Olga Weselowski (late Alex) and predeceased by Bill, Helen (Bill) Kozak and Harry (survived by Helen) Wizniak. William (Bill) will be greatly missed by all his many nephews, nieces, family and friends. Resting at the NEWEDIUK FUNERAL HOME, KIPLING CHAPEL, 2058 Kipling Ave. (north of Rexdale Blvd.), from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday. Panakhyda Monday at 7:30 p.m. Funeral on Tuesday leaving the funeral home at 10 a.m. for divine liturgy from St. Demetrius Church, 135 La Rose Ave., at 10:30 a.m. Interment Glendale Memorial Gardens.
