William Hurrell Obituary

WILLIAM JOHN HURRELL William (Bill) Hurrell was born on September 9, 1913 in Gleniffer Braes, Muskoka, Canada and was a recent resident of London, Ontario, Canada. Preceded in death by his wife Agnes and his son David, Bill passed away on January 25, 2011. Bill had an illustrious career in the Canadian Corrugated Industry receiving many awards culminating in 2007 with the reception of the Association of Independent Corrugated Converters Hall of Fame Award. At the age of 97 he was still an inspiration to those around him. He lived a very long and prosperous life and we are very proud of him. Bill is survived by his sons Kenneth Hurrell (Julliet) of London and Douglas Hurrell (Marlene) of Saratoga, California. He is also survived by nine grandchildren: Kim, Chalaine, Tammy, Dan, Bill, Kendra, Carley, Jonathan and Jimmy Hurrell as well as two great-grandchildren: Chelsea and Page. He will be missed and loved by many others. A memorial service will be held for family and friends at the WESTVIEW FUNERAL CHAPEL, 709 Wonderland Road North, London, Ontario at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 1, 2011. In lieu of flowers, please make contributions to: Glaucoma Research Society of Canada.

We are so sorry to learn that Uncle Bill has passed away. He was a true gentleman and we shall always remember him with great respect and affection. My happy memories of Uncle Bill go back a long way. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all.
