WILLIAM "WILL" LEWIS KRISTMAN Born: December 13, 2003 Passed on: February 9, 2013 William 'Will' Lewis Kristman, of Fort MCMurray, AB, left us behind on February 9, 2013, at the Stollery Children's Hospital in Edmonton, at the tender age of nine. Will's heart failed him while preparing to ski with his classmates at Vista Ridge Ski Hill. Will was a grade 4 student at St. Anne School, a racer with the Fort MCMurray Ski Team, and a goalkeeper for the U-10 Fury Soccer Team. Will was born December 13, 2003. He is the son of Will and Hilda and brother to Katie. Together they were Mom and Dad's Will and Kate. Will was predeceased by grandparents, Opa Wilhelm Kristman of Bradford, ON, Grampie Henry Hollett and Nanny Margaret (nee Robertson) Hollett, both of North Sydney, NS and his Uncle Fred Courage of Fort MCMurray. He is survived by parents, Wilhelm and Hilda (nee Hollett); sister, Katharina; grandmother, Elisabeth (nee Djurkowitsch) Kristman; great- grandmother, Katharina Djurkowitsch; great-aunt, Rose (Nino) Tomizza; uncles and aunts, John (Janece) Kristman, Lisa (Michael) Mendrek, David (Theresa) Hollett, Joan (Dwight) Eveleigh, Donna (Larry) Buck, Henry (Connie) Hollett, Bruce (Graca) Hollett, Margaret Courage, Janice (Brian) Johnson, Debbie (Ronnie) MACDonald, John Hollett, Caroline (Rob) Wilkie; 34 first cousins, many other cousins, family and friends and especially his cousin and friend, Steven Knott. Will is our shooting star, he came, he was magnificent, he oohed and awed many and has now soared off into the universe. To see a shooting star - breathtaking! To be a part of one - a miracle! Will's Memorial Service was held on Saturday, February 16th at the Suncor Community Leisure Centre at MACDonald Island at 1 p.m. with a reception that followed in the banquet room. In lieu of flowers, we will be taking donations for the Will Kristman Trust, accessed through ATB Financial Timberlea Branch in Fort MCMurray, along with willshootingstar@gmail.com
