My sincere condolences to Julia and family. I perhaps knew Bill the least amount of time then anyone. He was warm and friendly with an amazing sense of dry humour. He would keep me laughing. I am greatfull to have spent time with him and my darling Mark Q in Provence last year. Not sure I will ever look at a can of Coke a Cola the same again!! Lol

Bill and I sat side by side for the past eight years at Mackie Research Capital and became close friends. I will miss his sense of humour and the way he brightened our office every time he walked in the door. He always made me smile. He was my sounding board, my lunch mate and confidant. With Bill, the glass was always half full. He remained positive and gentle mannered no matter what challenge life threw his way. His life ended too early, but wow did he know how to live. He was a great story teller - and always with that infectious laugh. I admired his accomplishments and his tenacity. Bill was wise and warm-hearted. I feel lucky that he was my friend and I will miss him so much. My sincere condolences to the entire McLean family.

Bill Mclean was the nicest, gentle, humble, giving man I met in my 16 years on Bay Street. We sat across from each other for 16 years. The first time I met him, we became close friends. We would go for long walks and talk about a lot of stuff. He had a wicked sense of humor and did we laugh. He came to my wedding and really got to know Debbie well. He always had a xmas gift for my daughter. He always encouraged me to get my CIM and then my MBA. When I joined Fisher he was the first guy I called. I called him from New York, London and he always brought me Tshirts wherever he went. I have lost a part of my family. Bill made my life richer, he always encouraged me and built me up. I bet you 100 bucks he has asked an angel above for a date. Have fun Bill till we join you. You will be a legend
