WILLY ARTHUR WIDMER It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Willy Arthur Widmer on February 16, 2010 at the age of 79. He is survived by the love of his life, his wife Christl and his sons André and Peter, both his pride and joy. He will be greatly missed by daughters-in-law Gina and Christine, as well as his many rays of sunshine: granddaughters Robyn, Carly, Julia, Megan and Courtney. He is predeceased by brothers Otto and René (Trudy) and will be greatly missed by his sister Renate and nieces Claudia and Petra in Switzerland. He will be remembered by his sisters-in- law Ella and Renate, his niece Monika and husband Paul, nephew Mark, his wife Grace and daughter Calen, as well as his many friends and family in Canada, the United States and Europe. Relatives and friends will be received at Pine Hills Cemetery and Visitation Centre, 625 Birchmount Rd. (N. of St. Clair), in Toronto on Saturday, February 27, 2010 (1 p.m. visitation followed by 2 p.m. service). As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or the Canadian Cancer Society.

Dear Peter, Christl and family,
We were foruntate to meet Willy and your family for a short time. We asked about Willy the next morning at Scarborough General and were told the sad news. My mother was so sad for you and your family. Although we didn't know each other for long we shared a common illness and some great talks at the hospital with you and your family.
Our dad will soon be joining Willy in Heaven so I hope that the two of them can meet and have a nice chat about their wonderful lives..
Our thoughts and prayers are with you at this difficult time.
Stay strong and always be there for each other.
