I was very shocked to learn of Mr. Patel's death. My impression of him was that he was a happy, enthusiastic, and energetic person whom I felt would be around for a very long time. Unfortunately, his fun loving nature has been cut short. I know he will be missed by everyone who knew him. To the family, Stephen, Rosemarie, Melanie, Tricia and your mom I cannot imagine what you are all feeling at this moment. However, Mr. patel's loving memory will keep you all grounded. My family and I would like to offer deepest condolences to all of you.

I was so deeply saddened to hear of Mr. Patel's death. I have such fond memories of him as a parent, CSAC chair, Catholic extraordinaire, fabulous fun part of a great couple at Parent-Teacher Interviews, and generous kindhearted man. I will never forget his open heart when I needed donations for a fundraiser in the 80s for my kids' daycare. He had me over to the house and loaded up my trunk with pickles! I was eternally grateful. I cannot make tonight or tomorrow as i have some family issues of my own that are pressing, but I look forward to making a donation to the Ontario chapter of the Caribbean charity. My son spent carnival in Trinidad with friends last year, partly due to your family's love and enthusiasm for your country which you imparted to me over the many years of our connection and friendship. Mr. Patel embodied the spirit of his country, of his faith, and of good partnership in mariage and good parenting. His legacy will live on. Ginny O'Sullivan, teacher, Cardinal Newman High School
