Yvonne Blyth Obituary

YVONNE (BONNY) EDITH BLYTH Passed away peacefully surrounded by the love of her family on August 2, 2010 at Princess Margaret Hospital in her 73rd year. Beloved wife of Harry for 50 years. Loving and generous mother to Tom and Tracy (Don) and grandmother to her cherished grandchildren Brittany, Jamie and Tessa. Survived by her sisters Gail and Ann. Predeceased by her parents Tom and Edith and her brother Bruce. All those who knew her and those who met her will remember her with affection and will grieve the loss of a special person in their lives. Bonny was a sincere and kind woman with a lifelong concern for the welfare of others, especially those in difficult circumstances. Her many volunteer activities and support of charities throughout her entire life is a testament to her belief that we all can help to make this a better world. In this spirit, if desired, donations may be made to the charity of your choice. All family and friends are invited to attend a celebration of Bonny's life at the Toronto Botanical Gardens, Garden Hall, Edwards Gardens (Lawrence Ave. and Leslie Ave.) on Tuesday, August 10th from 1:00-4:00 p.m.

Just read Tracy's post on facebook 08/02/11. and am very sad to findout that the woman that cared and looked after and out for me over the difficult years my own mother had.. had passed a year ago. Bonny was caring, kind and a great teacher of life. Growing up with Tom, Tracy, Harry and Bonny was always a life learning experiance that will always be in my heart.

I just learned this minute of Bonny's passing and am heartbroken. I can only imagine how shattering this loss is to you Harry, Tom and Tracy. She is going to be mourned and missed by many, many people. I have never forgotten the golden times Bonny, Monica and I had working together at 95 St. Clair. We were an AMAZING team, and I will also never forget that I cried like a baby when our working relationship came to an unexpected end due to corporate cutbacks. Here I was terminating Bonny's employment and SHE was comforting ME. That was a sad day for me, but this one is even more sad. I will see you on Aug 10 to give my and Monica's condolences in person.
