Kathy Uliski Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Kathy Uliski on October 20, 2024, at the Selkirk Regional Health Centre with her family by her side.
Kathy was born in Saskatoon Saskatchewan on July 12, 1960, to Alfred and Genevieve Uliski, and was raised in Thompson Manitoba alongside her three siblings.
In 1995 she moved to Dauphin Manitoba with her parents, shortly after her move Kathy experienced the loss of her mother who was also her best friend. Following this loss, Kathy transitioned to Parkland Residential and Vocational Services Inc. where she lived for twenty-six wonderful years. During this time she briefly worked in the workshop, however her true passion was helping in the home and maintaining her own schedule.
In 2023 Kathy moved to Riverdale Place Homes in Arborg Manitoba to be closer to family, although her stay at Riverdale Place Homes was short, she left a beautiful impression, with her spirited energy, and compassion for others.
Kathy was generous with her kindness, thoughtful and always willing to lend a helping hand. She loved listening to the Irish Rovers, spending time with family and friends, counting fire hydrants and she adored kittens. She had a clever sense of humor, and found joy in making others smile. She had a feisty independence and possessed unique wisdom that will be greatly missed.
Kathy leaves to mourn her sister Marie Uliski, brother-in-law Neil Spencer, and sister-in law Dianna Fehr and nieces and nephews Mandy, Jason, Jennifer and Shawn as well as great-nephews Dylan and Grayson.
Kathy was predeceased by her mother and father Genevieve and Alfred Uliski, brother Gary Uliski, sister Sandra Spencer, and her close friend/ mentor Liz Fournier.
We would like to extend our deepest gratitude to the staff of Parkland Residential Vocational Services Inc. and Riverdale Place Homes Inc. for the exceptional care they provided to Kathy.
