Ajit Grewal Obituary

GREWAL, Ajit S. Mr. Ajit S. Grewal, of Victoria, B.C. passed away on Monday August 8, 2016 at the age of 76. Born in Narangwal, India he moved to Victoria in 1968 where he worked in the saw mills. He was known for his honesty and integrity. His greatest attribute was sharing. His generosity was experienced by his entire extended family. His work ethic carried him to great achievements, primarily he planted the seeds of success for others. He is survived by his wife, two daughters, son, daughter in law, son in law and four grandchildren. He was dearly loved and will be missed by his entire family. The family appreciates and extends it thanks to the Renal Unit at the Royal Jubilee Hospital. Funeral Services will be held Sunday, August 14, 2016 at 12:00pm, First Memorial, 4725 Falaise Dr. Victoria, B.C. V8Y 1B4 followed by prayer services at the Sikh Temple, 1210 Topaz Avenue, Victoria, B.C. V8T 2N1.

I didn't get to know ajit on a personal level, but i do know he was a kind hearted,loving, and welcoming man. Rest in peace.

I met Ajit uncle when i visited Victoria in 1998 thru my short marriage to the Grewal family. He was so jovial n very entertaining with his jokes. Ajit uncle make me very comfortable in his home. Met him a few other times when he visited Abbotsford. Never had a chance to meet him again. But the little i knew him...he was a humble kind hearted person...RIP Ajit Uncle. Mama Ji was the best uncle ever who came into my life, the times I met him I found him very funny, kind warmed hearted, had great family values & successful - I always & still do look up to mama Ji & Anup ( his son)

When I do visit Victoria it won't be the same not having mamma Ji around.. I will miss him dearly but honoured he was my mama Ji...

So sorry to hear about Ajit .My condolences to his family. Ajit to me was a kind hearted generous, humorous, gental soul who I often think of in my day to day life Blasting and drilling in the mountainous terrains of BC. It was a blessing to meet the man and do several blasting jobs for him and I call Ajit an Honest man with a heart of gold . Truly will be missed . Dennis McAllister
