I had the pleasure of meeting Alan through theatre work. He was a thoughtful,and fun man who often made me smile. I am grateful for the time he was in my life and he will live on in my memories. Thank you,Alan and good night.

For 14 years he maintained a cool presence in a chaotic tornado of talent, mayhem and noise. Alan was the nucleus of the Corporate Golden Piggy Awards who prevented us from exploding. He will be greatly missed in the cultural and political community of Victoria.

Goodbye old buddy. For nearly 40 years I have throughly enjoyed your wit, your perspectives on numerous topics and your generosity. I will miss our conversations. I will miss your enduring friendship. The sounds of your voice & your laughter and the memories of many good times will always remain.

Alan was my friend for more than 50 years and I am greatly saddened by his death. Although our divergent lives and residing at opposite ends of the country didn't allow us to see each other as often as we may have liked, we have never lost touch. So goodbye my old friend – I will always remember you.
