Alex Bodi Obituary
With his wife Margaret, and sons Tommy, Leslie, and David by his side, Alex passed away peacefully at home at age 82. He had fought a tough battle with cancer. Originally from Brasso, Romania, he immigrated to Canada during the Hungarian Civil Revolution of 56'. 20 years later he would return to Hungary to his would be wife and brought her back to Canada to start a family. A forest industry worker his entire life, he truly enjoyed working with lumber. He was an avid canoeist, boxer, fisherman, carpenter, and nature lover. A true gentleman and husband to his wife for 41 years, and the best father and inspiration any son could ever ask for. "Live and let live"

I went to school with Mr Bodi's son, Tommy at a young age. I remember he was a kind man who was very hard working to raise his family. I could see even at my young age he loved his family. My thoughts are with his family. Rest in peace.

Alex delivered our Times Colonist for many years when we lived on Pilot Street in James Bay. Regardless of weather or circumstances, he always delivered, on time. He was a hard-working, kind and caring gentleman; and will be missed by many. Sincere condolences from the Love family.
