BAART, Alexander Willem Kwantes May 11, 1993 - February 21, 2022 In Loving Memory We are deeply saddened to announce that on Monday, February 21, 2022 Alexander passed away in Victoria, BC at the young age of 28. Alexander loved the outdoors and being active. This showed in the many hobbies he enjoyed whether it was hiking, camping, biking or rollerblading. Alexander was a strong swimmer who took up lifeguarding. He enjoyed boating in the summer time, and snowboarding in the winter. He was passionate about fitness and loved his workouts at the gym, not to mention his love of nutrition (Beef Jerky counts right?). When he wasn't spending his time outdoors he enjoyed other pleasures such as gaming and rap music. Alexander ventured far and wide around the globe during his life. He visited far off places like Israel, New York, San Francisco, Holland and ventured south down to Costa Rica and Nicaragua. He also had adventures closer to home where he tackled the "West Coast Trail. Alexander is survived by his mom and brother, numerous friends, aunts, uncles and cousins. A Celebration of Life will be held on May 11, 2022 from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM at First Memorial Funeral Services located at 4725 Falaise Drive, Victoria, BC. Donations in Alexander's memory may be made to Capernwray Camp on Thetis Island, Camp Irnadene, or Cowichan River Bible Camp.
