I´m so sorry to hear of Alan´s passing. He was an excellent Island mentor to me when I took over from him at Nestle. He kept the most meticulous notes I´ve ever seen, and always had a smile at the ready. My sincere condolences on your loss - he will be missed.

Allan was my partner on the sales desk at Bapco Paint factory in 1969 to 1970. He was a pleasure to work with and shared his knowledge freely

I had the pleasure of working with Allan at Nestle for many years.
He was a true gentleman and committed family man.
When Allan would picked me up in the morning when I was working with him in Victoria, I was not allowed to talk to him until we had finished listening to Louis Armstrong´s "What a Wonderful World".
That song always reminds me of Allan; someone who appreciated life and was very grateful for what he had.
My condolences to the Day family.

My sincere condolences. I had the privilege of working with Alan for many years at Nestle. He was a class guy and the best dressed colleague... hands down. Alan was known as The Island Pro. He knew everyone, and everyone liked him. I know how important his family was to him. I will be thinking of Alan and will raise glass for sure.

So very sad to hear the passing of Alan. I worked with him at nestle for many years and we always had so many stories to share. His greatest joy was his wife Dorothy and we often exchange family stories

Thoughts and prayers are with your family at this difficult time. Allan had a wonderful life. So sorry to hear about the challenges Allan experienced with his health in the past few years. Now he is at peace. We have fond memories of life on Cambridge Street while you lived next door. We are still there. We miss seeing Allan in his Leprechaun hat at Hallowe'en. Piia and Johannes send condolences from Finland. The little fellow you babysat is now 19 years old and 6'3"!

I have known Allan since 1954, when my family moved to Belmont Park. Allan was always a good friend, and over the many years of our lives, we would occasionally bump into each other, which was always so nice to happen. I last saw Allan, was at a Belmont Park reunion that I organized, and it was so nice that he wanted to join us. Condolences to the Day family, and rest in peace, old friend. I am sorry your time has come.

Allan: I will miss you more than you will ever know. Will miss our brotherhood lunches, along with the stories you told Jack, David and I. Rest in peace my brother. Love you.

I am so sorry to have learned the news about Allan. I have many good memories of him showing up at my parents house in different costumes on Halloween night, to give us a good laugh. He was always fun to chat with and share a good laugh. You´re in my thoughts and prayers, Dorothy! Sending love and peace to you.

I went to school in Esquimalt with Alan and David, always nice talking to either one when I would see them randomly over the years. My condolences to all his loved ones.
