HANDLEY ALMA LEILA 18th APRIL 2008 AGED 90 YRS "A beautiful name for a beautiful person" Suddenly, yet peacefully at home, after a debilatating illness, so bravely born yet with always cheerful kind words and a beautiful smile. Now lovingly united so soon, with her husband of 69 years George, ("Our George") missed more than mere words can express by her loving son Brian and "Rover/Felix". Mum touched so many hearts by her kindness, generosity of spirit, and above all her sunny personality. Fondly remembered by her close friends Ann and Joyce, old neighbours, dear friends and former customers of Heckles, Mace and Watsons of Poulton, who will remember her smiling face and friendly service. A thank you to the district nursing staff and special thoughtfulness of Fiona and Nicky during Mum's last days. Never forgetting Helen and Margie of "Pop-in" whose friendship and "Magic Garden" Mum deeply appreciated. Also the carers who although only sadly got to know Mum for a few weeks will remember her for her cheery words each morning. "Mum I never imagined you'd be treading in Dad's footsteps so quickly. Now go with love across those sands again, at peace in dear Dad's arms. If anyone deserved a place in heaven it was you. I will miss those unsaid yet knowing little thoughts we both shared and loved, over the years. We both know you said bye bye. Bye bye and God bless always".
