Mentor, role model, friend, these are just a few of the words that describe Anne. She was an extraordinary example of a human being and an incredible teacher. Anne had a wonderful sensitivity and passion for the things she cared about in life. I took both Earth Science in my junior years & Geology in my senior years with her. We had plenty of time to get to know each other. Over the years I heard many great stories. Some stories about geology, some of their travels, a lot about Jamie from the time that he was just tiny. They were always so proud of you & loved you so much, Jamie.
Although I didn't know Scott very well. He was always very friendly. Ready with the same warm smile I had come to know from Anne. I tried to keep in touch with Anne for quite a few years after graduation. I'm sad to say I hadn't seen her in a number of months. My heart goes out to Jamie and all the family. This is a very tragic loss.
Anne & Scott will both be deeply missed, but not forgotten.

As a teaching colleague of Anne's I will miss her sense of humour, her ability to meet the needs of all types of learners and her enthusiasm for
teaching her students that "Geology rocks". Jamie my heart goes out to you in your loss. I hope you can find solace in your music and that in time you will find peace.

I was deeply sadden to hear about Anne's death. For many years we had adjoining class rooms as science teachers in Chatelech High School. Anne was an enthusiastic teacher, and a strong advocate for more Earth Science in the curriculum. We had many enjoyable moments sharing our mutual love of science and teaching. I remember her fondly.

I will always remember Anne's warmth and good cheer, and her giggle! She saw the humour in everything and was always a joy to be around. I last saw her in December 2011 when we happened upon each other while shopping; we hadn't been together much since she moved to Sechelt many years ago, but Anne was - as always - so genuine and honest, it was as though I'd seen her the day before. I will be thinking of Anne's family and Scott's, and of course Jamie, and hoping for peace for all of you.

She taught me more than she will ever know, and I am so grateful to have ever had her as a teacher. It is because of her I am where I am today. She was a wonderful woman and she will be missed dearly.
