August 5, 1937 to September 18, 2025
On September 18, 2025, we lost our amazing Mother who battled dementia. She was 88. Mom was born in Marcelin, Saskatchewan and raised in Kimberley, BC. She married dad, Wally in 1958 settled and raised her three children in Victoria, BC She was the greatest mother to Laurie, Ricky and Jody (Quinn). Nana extrodinare to the 8 grandchildren she cherished, Mark, Justin, Valerie, Kirsti, Shaun, Sarah, Christie and Adam. She was tickled with her 9 great grandchildren, Ciara, Wynter, Vienna, Luke, Aksel, Ares, Leo, Findley and Mylo. She was a sister to 8 brothers and sisters, Leo, Muriel, Lillian, Alma, Irene, Gabe, Ray and Dale. An aunty to 21 nieces and nephews ... Annette was predeceased by her husband Wally, they were married for 42 years, her granddaughter Kirsti, her father Joseph, her mother Collette, brothers Leo and Ray, sisters Muriel, Lillian, Alma and Irene, and many other loved ones before her.
Mom lived a good life, set a good example, taught us many important lessons. She gave us many wonderful memories but most importantly, she gave us the gift and value of family. She will be dearly missed, but forever in our hearts.
No service by request, we will celebrate mom as a family. No flowers please but a donation to the BC Dementia Care Society if inclined.
