Tony Jr will be missed at the shop and by the tenants at Tonto Rosette ,Tony Jr was a very kind person willing to help others,it will be strange here not seeing Tony Jr carve here ,so used to seeing him carving almost every day,prayers for the Robert and Bryan and the Hunt family .

While I did not have the pleasure of meeting Tony Jr. I cannot help but feel that I know his karma and his wonderful, magnificent spirit, for this is what I have come to recognize by all the people and voices that mourn him. Incredibly he appears to have been the embodiment of his great and incredibly talented grandfather, the late Henry Hunt Sr. Sadly for whatever reason or purpose, our Creator has decided that he needs this creative genius more than those of us on earth and I share the pain and the grief of this young man's father and all of the Hunt's. Tony Jr. comes from a very long and ancient line of chiefs and very high ranking people from far and wide and I am particularly proud to know that like myself Tony Jr. is connected to the great TSAWATAINEUK MUSGAMAGW peoples for his beautiful and loving grandmother Helen was like myself from Gwayee, where her family was respected and admired by many. I am positive that our powerful wolves will wail and howl throughout the beautiful Gwayee valley (Kingcome Inlet) to announce and mourn the loss of a beautiful, talented young man, Tony Jr. gone far, far too soon. Tony's entire family have been struck an awful and painful blow, in particular his baby Robert (10 years of age), will need all the love and support that family and friends can provide him. The legacy that young Tony Jr. has created and left behind him is large, incredible and will continue to amaze and unfold before us for years to come. Tony Jr. may you rise up with your loved ones and your ancestors and may your great family's love and caring protect your spirit and your sons. I feel and know that your wonderful karma, humility, and extremely kind and gentle spirit that was blessed with so much unique and such special talent is now a great part of our universe and that the great Creator will have you blazing your beautiful spirit permanently in the celestial kingdom, where you now belong and where you will and shall shower us with your powerful light and life force forever. I am so sad to hear of the passing of my dear friend junior he helped me and my youngest son during some very trying times when my life was in turmoil with having to move on short notice out of Victoria back up island junior just jumped in rolled up his sleeves and helped me move everything in under twenty-four hours in a ryder truck from my cousins in Colwood up to Youbou which is close to where I lived for many years. You could not meet a more humble, kind and generous man anywhere he was my friend and carving companion both at my home and a tonto rosette house and when I came to town we would gossip like two old ladies share meals songs stories and our history of our people. I will see my friend again one day and we will sing and dance and celebrate life together like we did here at one time. God Bless him and his family and his two sons. Choo! my brother.

I met Mr. Hunt in August as he was carving and had a chat. A humble man who obviously loved his family. He told me the story of how Robert was very sad to leave George Jay school. I am sorry for your loss.

I was sorry to hear of the passing of my long-time friend Tony Hunt Jr.I also send my sincere condolences to his family and his children. It was my honour to have known him our whole lives and to have been able to watch the amazing craftsmanship of his father and grandfather at the Museum grounds where my father had a shop in the early 1960's. I believe that the values that were important to his father amd grandfather before him were instilled in tony and that it was these values that gave him his focus for his own life, and in turn created a good life experience for him and his son's. I would see Tony many times over the years and he always displayed a positive attitude and always had positive things to say. I believe that the world would be a better place to live in if there were more people like Tony, who always had a smile regardless of what he was dealing with in his life. We could learn a lot from Tony, and we should smile and count our blessings that we have been given. I will not say that this is a good bye but rather so long til we meet again and share a laugh or two.
