Anthony Stevens Obituary

STEVENS, Anthony (Tony) John
July 20, 1946 - December 7, 2022
Anthony (Tony) John Stevens took his last breath December 7, 2022 in the palliative care ward at the Saanich Peninsula Hospital. Survived by his devastated wife Brenda Stevens, his two sons Glen (spouse Sharon and grandsons, Aidan, Dylan and Ethan) and Dale (spouse Mary Anne), the mother of his children Jennifer Lock, and his chosen daughter Leanne McGregor. Also by the closest of friends, Barb and Tim, Jerry and Barbara, and too many others to list, but know that you are in our hearts. Predeceased by his parents Sarah and John Edward, and his in-laws Margaret, Mack (George) and Brian Mackintosh.
Tony was born in Reigate, England, and eventually moved with his parents to Scotland to help run the family business. He decided in 1967 that it was time to move on, and chose Victoria as his destination. He was employed at Butler Brothers and in 1978 accepted a job at Wescraft Mfg., and eventually got together with his wife Brenda who also worked there. They were together from January of 1990, and shared true love. From there Tony started his own business B.T.S. Management which he successfully ran until his retirement on July 31st, 2012.
Tony excelled at many things especially anything technical, cooking and puttering around. Tony enjoyed the time that he spent at La Jolla, and with Brenda at their home base. They travelled to many destinations and with Barb and Tim special trips to mainland Mexico.
One thing that Tony wanted towards the end of his life was the reading of his last rights which was performed by Reverend Rolf. He also wanted to have a bagpiper play a few of his favourite songs, which will take place. A celebration of life will be held July 20, 2023. If you wish to make donations in his name please consider The Saanich Peninsula Hospital Foundation, the Palliative Care unit at Saanich Peninsula Hospital, or The BC Cancer Foundation.
Rest in peace my darling for our cremains will be mingled together when the time comes.
