Antonia MORGAN Obituary
It is with heavy hearts we share that Antonia Morgan (née Baker) passed away surrounded by loved ones on September 30, 2025 at the age of 78.
Born on January 11, 1947, in Huddersfield, Yorkshire, England, to Cecil "Jim" and Barbara Baker (née Schofield). When Tonia was 5, she immigrated from England to Canada with her parents, first living in Barrie Ontario, and moving to Calgary, Alberta when Tonia was 10. There she met her lifelong best friend Jacqui Crandlemire. Eventually her family settled in Victoria BC in 1964. Around 1965 Tonia met her husband Denny, later having their daughter Anita in 1967.
For those who knew Tonia, her quick wit and wicked sense of humour were unforgettable. She especially loved a good laugh - the more unexpected, the better. She never missed an episode of Coronation Street, even in her final days. Tonia had a love of music and would burst into song at any given moment. She brought joy and laughter to everyone around her.
Tonia is survived by her daughter, Anita Stephen (née Morgan); Step-Son, David Morgan (Julie); grandchildren, Jesica Morgan, Valerie Stephen (Chris), Andrew Willems, and Julia Stephen (Oliver); and Great-Grandchildren, Alexander, Nathan, Zackary and Danica. She is also survived by her brother, Robert Baker.
Tonia was predeceased by her husband of 57 years, Dennis Morgan, passing only 6 weeks before her. She is also pre-deceased by her Step-Daughter, Debra Morgan and parents Jim and Barbara.
A special thank you goes to the staff and Linda at Aberdeen Hospital, along with the wonderful staff at the Royal Jubilee Hospital.
A small gathering will be held in Tonia's honour at a later date.
