ANTONIO GICAS Obituary

It is with profound sadness we announce the passing of Tony.
Beloved Husband, Father, Grandfather, Brother and Uncle. Tony is survived by his loving wife Cindy, Daughter Krista (Shawn), Son Adam (Tami) and Grandchildren Nya and Jude - whom he adored.
He was proud of his children's successes and achievements.
Tony was born to parents Sonny and Shirley, growing up in Metchosin with 4 brothers (Jim, Bob, John Paul and Greg) and sister (Caroline), where he made many fond life-long memories of this time.
He loved fishing on his boat at Peddar Bay Marina, riding motorcycles and driving around in his many cars. In his later years, hosting his famous annual BBQs.
He worked at the Westwind Pub in Langford, making many friends for life, then moving to Oak Bay Marine Group, Pearkes Arena, and finally Panorama Recreation Centre.
Tony was diagnosed with PSP last October.
He chose to leave this world with courage and dignity. He will be missed tremendously.
Special thanks to our incredible family Doctor, Dr. Jennifer Thomas, for all of her help and support.
Also, to the MAID Dr. Jean Hendersen, and all the homecare nurses who came to visit and care for Tony during his illness.

Sad to hear, I went to school with Antonio, and recently met his son Adam through work. How paths cross, then fade away. He was a character. Brian.
