McLEOD-SMITH, April April 14, 1947 May 31, 2009 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of April McLeod-Smith on Sunday, May 31st after a long and courageous struggle with breast cancer. Whether she knew you for 30 minutes or 30 years, she wanted to thank you for being a part of her life. It was a good life." April is survived by her husband Greg, daughter Bobbi (Bill) Randall, son Adam (Jen); grandchildren Kyle Robertson, Haley Belyk, and Marissa Smith; and mother Joan Buchanan, brother Rod McLeod, and sisters Jeanne Kinnis and Chris Lengert. She also leaves behind many nieces and nephews. The family wishes to give special thanks to the Palliative Care Unit of the Nanaimo General Hospital. A Celebration of April's Life will be held on Saturday, June 6 at 1:00 p.m. at Yates Funeral Home, 1000 Allsbrook Road, in Parksville. 544180
