Ardene Philp Obituary
Survived by his wife Linda, children Michelle, Ken, Kevin (Shaina Schmidt), and grandson Logan. He also leaves behind to mourn; his brother and best friend Len (children Doug and Melanie), siblings Ede, Noreen, Donald, Wendy, cousin Doreen, and their families, as well as many great friends.
Ardene leaves his family and friends with many treasured memories. He was especially proud of his more than three decades of service to the Canadian Hydrographic Service. Ardene embraced volunteerism and service to his community, contributing countless hours of service to Saanich Minor Hockey, Layritz Little League, and several other local organizations.
Thank you to the outstanding care team at The Heights at Mt. View, and the numerous other wonderful people who have helped us along this journey.
A celebration of life will be held November 19th, 2023 beginning at 12:30 PM at Olympic View Golf Club.

Linda I was so sad to hear of Ardene´s passing. I have so many happy memories of our evenings playing for the Mariners, followed by team time at the Tally Ho! He was a wonderful man and you must miss him terribly. Take care.

I met Ardene when I joined CHS in 1972 and our friendship continued for three decades. Special times with Ardene in the early days was a beer after work at the Churchill pub followed by a game of pool at the Pro Pats legion. Those were fun times at CHS, the softball team, Beer,Bun and Bellowing Bash, Christmas parties, dances at IOS and much more. Ardene was an integral part in planning many of these events. Rest in Peace my friend.

Having spent decades working with Ardene and years at the rink together, he seemed like a older brother to me for the advice and guidance he provided. He was a true professional in his career and widely admired. Ardene meant a lot to those who knew him, and he will be greatly missed. My thoughts are with you in this challenging time.
