Arthur LEBEL Obituary

Arthur Bruno LeBel age 89, formerly of Victoria, passed away at Echo Village, in Port Alberni BC, on January 12, 2021. Born on February 24, 1931 in Hull, Quebec. Art joined the army and moved to Victoria. He met the love of his life Lillian Noble (predeceased). They were married for 63 years. Dad will be remembered by their four children Louise (Frank), Yvonne (Greg), Jacqueline (Murray) and Gordon (Lorraine). Papa will be fondly missed by his nine grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren. He had many nieces and nephews, who were an important part of his life.

In 1962, Art started his career as a Boilermaker at VMD. He later joined the Boilermakers Union, local 359 in Vancouver and travelled throughout BC for work.

Art loved to tell stories and those will be missed. His interests included gardening, computers, woodworking, camping and fishing, travelling, and writing in his diary daily. Family was the most important thing to our Dad and he started a LeBel family reunion weekend in 1982, which continues to this day and will for years to come. He lived his life to the fullest and his memory will be cherished.

Our condolences to your family. My family growing up were friends with the Lebels and the Pages. My husband was also a Member of 369. Many great stories to remember about Art. So glad he was still writing in his journal. Joe & Nancy Callahan (Fletcher)

I remember Art from his VMD days. He would entertain us with his Hooey stick which would change direction when he said Hooey .God bless Art.
