I thought of Aurelia the other day as I found a perfect spot in our new home on Hornby Island for her wonderful painting of St. Stephens Church. Her spirit lives on (and travels far!) through her art.

I bought a print of hers in a Sally-Ann store in Courtenay and it was beautiful. The beach on Savory Island B.C., etc. I am also and Artist and I loved the colorful painting.

I am so sorry Aurelia had to leave the life she had with you too soon, she will be deeply missed. I was very sad to hear of the loss of your wife and best friend Aurelia. I didn't know your wife, but from everything you have told me, she was very special person. From your stories of your life together I know that this is an unbelieveable sad time for you and your sons. I see everyday what a talented artist Aurelia was from the annual christmas cards that I have kept. I know how you treasured sailing together from the stories of being together in beautiful places.

Faye, Kristin, Tricia and I were saddened to hear of the passing of Aurelia. We will all remember with fondness the great times that we had together at you and our homes. While Aurelia will never be far from our hearts we will miss her kind heart and warm spirit. While Areulia is now part of our history, she will always be part of our extended family, fondly missed.

What I remember the most about Reli is her beautiful, blue eyes that were filled with such fire burning from deep inside of her. She had an amazing energy, such a passion for life! I am so deeply sorry that she suffered so much, that she had to leave us so soon, and I am so comforted that she had Henrik constantly, faithfully, by her side, helping her and loving her through it all. I share in your grief and sorrow with all my heart, and I hold Reli and all of you in my love.
