Blake Lawson Obituary
LAWSON, W. Blake
August 4, 1948 - November 4, 2025
77 years
Blake, forever "Uncle Blake" to our offspring, Uncle Blake to his nephews Patrick and John, and brother to his surviving sister, Barbara Lecky of Vancouver. Dearest trusted friend and confidant. The dashing man in your prized red Miata with our adoring Cairn terrier, Bracken, by your side. The debonair man at the helm of quite a few boats, grand and tiny both, the chef of many a wondrous freshly caught shrimp repast, an insightful interior designer, retailer and the raconteur of fabulous stories, with totally appropriate accents and much hilarity on the side. All this served up with a few beverages so many times in the Cabana at Qualicum. You gathered people to you personally and professionally with kindness and great warmth. You and Dorothy Orr solved the problems of the world thrice over with breaks for naughty takeout from Parksville and a giggle or two. You were a marvellous team, and you cared for Dorothy with such love and devotion. Barb Walz, your Guardian Angel, as you called her many times, then cared for you. Your friends loved you, dear Blake, and none of us can believe that our worlds will no longer have you in them.
We miss you.
Please come and visit in our dreams.
