Brenda CUNDILL Obituary

Diagnosed with (bulbar) ALS a short six months ago, Brenda passed with her family at her side. Born in Laval, QC to Fred and Helen Waters. She raised her three children in Oakville, ON, and for the past 12 years she called Victoria home.
She was an AMAZING mother and (human and dog!) grandmother, strong and competitive until the very end. She passed with her hair done and lipstick on. If you knew her, you would know that that is the only way she would want to go.
Known for her love of her kids, grandkids, golden retrievers, her glass of red wine, and 20,000 steps a day. Avid bridge player and friend to many. No service, but please raise a glass to Brenda!

I knew Brenda when I started playing bridge last winter at James Bay. She was beautiful, fit, competitive and a skilled bridge player. However at her very core was a compassionate caring person who was a champion of the underdog and disadvantage. I will forever remember and miss you Brenda.

I knew Brenda as friend and fellow bridge player
for only a few years, when she became my neighbour.
It was an honour and pleasure to know such an elegant and lovely woman. We, her
friends,will miss her greatly.

A lovely lady, always cheerful, always with a big smile, Brenda was a well admired member of our bridge group. She will be greatly missed at James Bay New Horizons duplicate bridge.

Miss our times together. So much laughter when we played bridge at my home. The four of us would listen to the old songs on my home Google. Each of us would often be triggered with a fond memory due to a song. Much of the time we never kept score. There was never a time when Brenda had a hair out of place. She always had a lovely broad smile for us, & her laughter will forever be in my memory. She would always answer a text, filled with lovely comments, saying how much she loved being with her friends.
Always talked about her family, grandchildren & the dogs. She was a generous hostess, making us all feel so welcomed in her home.
So honoured to have been a friend of hers & miss her terribly. So glad we met some of her friends who flew out from back east to spend time with her. Could see how thrilled she was to be able to introduce so many of us to them . Thanks to her daughter who made had us all at her home for this reunion. My condolences goes out to her loving family.
