Brent Harbar Obituary

HARBAR, Brent Neil Passed away peacefully November 2nd, 2016 just before midnight, age 60. Brent's life was full of longtime friends, family, motorcycle riding to obscure places, playing guitar he was amazing, cooking great dinners (even if we waited til late at night it was worth the wait). Brent had an unbreakable bond with his nephew Grant. We will all miss his intelligence, humour and incredible sarcasm. Brent made his career as a stockbroker and was very learned in many aspects and always interested in researching things he heard about. It's not what it should have been, It's not what it could have been, It is what it is. Brent said he didn't want us all standing around singing Kumbayah so join us in a celebration and a toast to Brent. Celebration of Life will be held in the Sequoia Centre at McCall Gardens, 4665 Falaise Drive, on Sunday, November 20, 2016 at 2:00p.m. Donations can be made to B.C. Cancer Society in Support of Liver research. Condolences to the family may be offered at www.mccallgardens.com.

Just saw this and am very shocked as way to young. Worked with Brent in the 90s and had a memorable trip to Cabo. Great spirit and will be missed!! Our thoughts to the family.

I was so surprised and saddened to hear of Brent's passing. He has left such fond and fun memories of past years when I lived in Victoria with family during the 1980's. Seems like only yesterday. Sending love and condolences to Brent''s family and loved ones.

Much too young to say goodbye. No doubt Uncle Bill, Nolan, Aunt Effie, Uncle Harold and too many others are there with him now. May this give all of us some comfort.
