Brian FRITH Obituary
Brian Frith (Feb. 27 1951- Feb. 28 2025) was born in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan to Joyce (née Blackwell) and Gordon Frith. When he was 5 years old the family moved to Nanaimo, B.C where he spent most of his life. Brian enjoyed many years on the water sailing with family and friends; exploring the islands and soaking in the sun. Brian had an illustrious career in the grocery business, both on the island and in the interior. He spent most of his career working for Thrifty Foods and upon retirement in 2009, enjoyed traveling to warm places in the winter and soaking in the hot sun. Brian loved to entertain and host, and could always be counted on for a good laugh. He is survived by his brother Bruce (Kim), niece Stacey (Tyler), nephew Nicholas (Katie), best friend Tracey, great-nephews Jack, Lachlan, and Crawford, great-niece Charlotte, and many cousins and friends who loved him. The family would like to thank the ICU staff at Nanaimo General Hospital who helped him get to his 74th birthday before his passing and for their compassion and care during Brian's final days. A Celebration of Brian's Life will be held April 5, 2025 3:00 pm at the Nanaimo Yacht Club.
