LESIUK, Brian Sheldon
May 26, 1940 - April 14, 2023
Mr. Brian Sheldon Lesiuk passed away peacefully in Victoria, BC on April 14, 2023.
Brian began life on May 26, 1940 in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan. After completing school, he trained as a mechanical engineer at the University of Saskatchewan in Saskatoon. He supported his Engineering degree through military service that brought him to British Columbia after graduation. It was in Vancouver, BC, that Brian met Gloria Blubla, a nurse at St. Paul's Hospital. Brian and Gloria were married on August 6, 1966, and soon blessed with three sons before settling in Victoria.
Brian was predeceased by his mother, Laura; father, John and sister, Elaine. Brian was loved in life and will be lovingly remembered by his sons Chris (Shannon), Timothy (Brenda) and Bryan; sister Evelyn; niece Krysta; nephews Tyler, Marc and Stephane; and granddaughters Emma and Helen.
Brian loved life and his family and enjoyed the time he had as a grandparent. He loved making wine, growing roses and flowers, herbs and vegetables and enjoyed working in the garden year-round. Brian spent some time as a Scout leader and was an expert camper and backwoods bar-b-q'er. He enjoyed canoeing on rivers and lakes across the province, including many fishing trips to locations far off the beaten path (or where there was no path). He passed on to his children and grandchildren his love of nature and the outdoors, his fascination with science and the unknown, and they will remember him always. There will be no service by request.
