Brian "Goop" MCKAY

July 29, 1959 - February 18, 2025

Brian was a sweet guy with a wonderful ability to communicate with all walks of life. Brian loved his family and had countless friends and no enemies. Brian was incredibly loyal to his friends, but his true passions of his life were the New York Rangers and The Rolling Stones.

Brian attended Willows Elementary, Oak Bay High and was an accomplished house painter for decades. Brian played all sports as a kid and excelled at golf and ping pong. Brian travelled through Canada, USA, Mexico, Asia and Cuba. Brian even made it to Mongolia.

Brian had many health struggles, but he always stayed positive and kept up an optimistic attitude and got the most out of life!

Brian was predeceased by his parents, Agnes and Howard McKay and by his niece, Caitlin and nephew Michael. He is survived by siblings Jack McKay, Marilyn Callahan, nieces Lindsey, Karen, Kristen, Stephanie and Heather.

The Gooper will be missed!
