Brian Moore Obituary

MOORE, Brian Charles December 6, 1946 - October 21, 2018 Brian Moore passed away suddenly at RJH Sunday, October 21st. A lover of nature, "his" Cadboro Bay street and neighbours, music and drumming, sharing his phenomenal knowledge about Victoria, motorcycling - VMC, his Arbutus Taxi, and beyond all else connecting with people of all types. Brian built up a vast network of good friends and will be missed by all of us lucky enough to have been part of his life. Brian wished no formal service but instead a "social held with music, good treats and a chance for all his friends to be together". We will honour his life and his wishes. Future plans for gathering will be in Times Colonist in early November. or contact [email protected]

I still think about Brian as if he was still alive today, but I realize he has gone, for three years now. His birthday is coming up in three days. I'll raise a glass to Brian Moore, my dearest longtime best friend.

Hello, I worked for Brian in the late 1990s. He was thinking of adding historical tours to his Arbutus Taxi business and I answered his ad. The tour business never came to be, but I drove for him for about 6 months before going over to Blue Bird. I enjoyed Brian very much. He was a unique character.

Brian and I went to Brentwood together and he was the reason that I got hooked on motorcycles. Brian was a quiet but sincere person with deep convictions which made our conversations very enjoyable.
They do not make them like this anymore. He was a small giant

I enjoyed many great conversations about music and Brian's amazing life in Victoria. I loved our chats while waiting for flights to arrive. It was a privilege and pleasure to get to know him. He will be missed

Brian just sent me a lovely card for the passing of my mum who lives in the same neighborhood. We both enjoyed walking with Brian from time to time and listening to his amazing stories of Victoria. In the time that I knew him, he experienced several health challenges and I greatly admired, respected, and valued his good nature, positivity and great enthusiasm for life and the passions he held for his music and motorcycles. Very sad to hear of his passing...rest in peace, Brian, and I will listen for your drumming.

He was the only person I ever knew who never had a bad word to say about anybody, no matter what. Brian Moore always spoke glowingly about everyone, no matter what harm they may have done to him. That made him super special in this world. I will always remember him and so should others.

Brian was a motorcycling enthusiast and a member of the Victoria Motorcycle Club. He was competitively active in the 60's & 70's but left the club for a period of time, rejoining in 2012. He had committed to being the trophy committee this year and will be sorely missed. Our condolences to his family of cousins, aunts and uncles.

Wow. We lost Victoria's Mr. Google. It didn't matter what you asked Brian about Victoria...he could tell you the history.
The nicest colleague a person could work with. The cruise ship terminal and the airport have lost a fixture and Victoria has lost one of it's biggest fans. Many have lost a friend.
We are gonna miss you Brian.
