It is almost a year ago for Brian's untimely loss. We sure miss him. We were fortunate to get to know him as colleagues and friends at Camosun before his untimely passing and he had such an influence. We speak and think of him very often. He is very missed. Our continued condolences to Maria and family.

I am a student at camosun college and I had Brian as my teacher for my first accounting class. Accounting wasnt an easy subject for me and he always believed in me. He always told me not to stress out because there was no need for it. I hoped I would get him for another accounting class in the future and I would always see him in the halls and we would have chats all the time. He told me he wasnt teaching in January because he was going travelling. I am so devastated to hear he has passed away. I will always remember his witty jokes and that smile of is. You will be missed !

Brian was truly an amazing teacher and he really helped accounting come alive for me in my first semester at Camosun. I hadn't had him as a teacher since, but every time he saw me in the halls at school for the last 2 years he always had a smile for me and remembered exactly who I was. If only every teacher could have the level of passion and love for their craft that Brian Yahn had. You will be truly missed sir.
