Dear Juanita
I just learned of Cam's passing and wanted you to know how sad I am.Cam was the one who made it okay for me to visit a dentist.He treated my husband myself and boys from the time they were 3 years old thirty some odd years.
I also thought of Cam as a friend.I hope you are keeping family close .My thoughts and prayers are with you.

Hi Juanita,Brian,Dwayne, Heather and families.
Marion and I just learned of Cam's passing yesterday, Feb. 27. after reading the minutes of a Victoria and District Dental Meeting.
We wish to express our sincere sympathy and condolences to you all in this time of grief.
It is hard to believe.We lost Digger(Ken Campbell) last year and now Cam.
Cam and I first met at Colquitz Jr. High School in Grade 7. We shared the same locker. We played ball hockey for hours in the cul-de-sac outside his family home. We car pooled to Uvic and of course both attended UBC dental school with a stint in the Canadian Forces afterwards.
Cam was a great friend- honest, humorous, industrious, entrepreneur, and very outgoing and friendly to all.
I looked forward to Victoria and District Dental meetings and meeting Cam there.
Cam made a positive impact on all whom he came in contact with.
We wish you all well at this time and share in the good memories of a great individual.

Juanita, my heart is full of tears for you and your family. Cam was always so proud of you.
Cameron was our family dentist, but he was also a good friend and through the years we shared events in our lives...,happy and sad.

We go back a long way and have many fond memories of Cam over the last 37 years since we first met at Christopher Robin co op preschool. That led to many Friday nights playing badminton and many New Year, St Patrick's parties and summer barbeques. A lot of FUN memories. Our condolences to the Croll family.

Juanita and family. I'm so sorry to hear of Cams passing He was such a kind , compassionate and friendly man. I always enjoyed visiting with him at the dental office reminiscing school years we spent together I especially appreciate the compassion he showed to my husband Alan when he had his stroke 5 years ago I was surprised and felt it was so kind of him to go up to VGH to see Al His kindness was greatly appreciated then later when Al was able to return to the office for appointments he was so caring to accommodate Al help with transfers and genuinely treat him as a friend not just another pacient. He was truly a remarkable man and will be greatly missed. My heart goes out to you and your family. Dear Juanita
This morning I became aware of Cam's passing. I was stunned! Not more than a few months ago Cam called me and we talked. There was nothing in his voice to suggest it wasn't the happy, friendly, sincere and likeable Cam. He did not mention anything and when he hung up, I had only the memory of a good man that had given me an opportunity when I was in the military from August 1981 until June of 1983. In fact I even reminisced to myself, that last phone call I had received from Cam reassuring me the rumor of his passing a number of years ago was not true – I hoped for the same this time.
Because I'm not aware of the history of his illness, I am not certain if you and the children, grandchildren etc., had time to prepare for this eventuality but even with time to prepare the passing can be unbearable. Personal experience with a parent tells me that the seeming finality is overwhelmingly difficult. Despite strong faith, grief is inevitable and appropriate.
I share with you my faith that Cam's spirit lives on. His personality is bright and his suffering has ended. One day you will see him and know it is him as you did in your daily life together. This is the most certain knowledge I possess.

Cam has been my dentist for over 30 years. I was so saddened to hear of his illness, and now his passing. I will not only remember him as excellent and professional, but always cheerful and smiling, and so proud of his family. My heart goes out to you, his much loved family.
