She is survived by her sons Patrick and James, and her siblings Martina, Vincent (Connie), Rosemary and Theresa. She also leaves behind her nephew Michael (Cheryl), her nieces Nerissa (Steve), Carmen, Alisha and Alexis, numerous cousins and many friends. She will be missed by all who knew her.

I found you by chance and we were able to spend some valuable time together. You showed me where I come from, and in your own way, where I might go. Fly fast and free towards the edges of our universe, and rest well. James

May you rest in peace Carol. May your adventurous Spirit continue to enjoy the wonderful outdoors and the love of travel you had. Your next journey has begun too early but you will embrace it as you did in life. Will always remember the day you left to head east in your little red car loaded with everything you owned. I watched as you drove away and fingers crossed I prayed you made it safely to PEI.
Which later took you to New Brunswick. You often said you wanted to come back home to BC so now you are here in spirit .
You will be missed my friend.

You made my early life special and you taught me the value of education. As a nomad in relentless pursuit of the next adventure, you were far ahead of your times. Thank you for always being authentically unconventional, and inspiring me to chart my own course. Rest in peace and see you on the other side.
