NURSE, Carol Muriel (nee McIntosh) June 8, 1946 - July 1, 2018 Carol Muriel Nurse (nee McIntosh) born in Kildare Capes, Prince Edward Island on 8 June, 1946, passed away on 1 July, 2018 in Victoria, BC. She is predeceased by her beloved life partner Timothy Hugh Nurse, and is survived by her daughters Josephine and Amelia, siblings Barbara (Jim), Mary (Ray), Barry (Dianne) and Herb (Debbie) - as well as Tim's siblings Jeremy (Mandy), Nicky (Bruce), and Andrew (Julia) and a plenitude of nieces and nephews. Friends and family alike will miss her humour, caring, sense of adventure, hospitality, knitting and sewing, cooking and baking, and her beautiful gardens. Carol was a dedicated mother and had a brilliant career as a registered nurse for 50 years, and worked all over Canada. She was known for her advocacy for the elderly, and specialized in geriatrics. A Celebration of Life will be held on Monday 9 July at 1pm, at Sands Funeral Chapel, 317 Goldstream Avenue, Victoria. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Diabetes Association, Red Cross or Vancouver Children's Hospital.
